The
objectives of this meeting were to exchange information between
initiatives addressing C&I for sustainable forest management,
to explore problems, successes and opportunities for collaboration
between processes, to explore opportunities to better identify
and bridge gaps between the different processes, and to provide
Canadian Forest Service-Laurentian Forestry Centre and the
Province of Quebec with the opportunity to demonstrate their
experiences in the field. In C&I major discussions were
on
- further
development of C&I,
- data collection
aspects,
- reporting
aspects,
- certification,
- possible
options for collaboration and
- follow-up
steps to be taken.
